19th October 2019

Our home away from home on this trip is unique, and steeped in history. Formerly part of a Benedictine Monastery dating back to the 11th Century, the building has now been converted into simple but comfortable holiday accommodation. There’s still a thrilling sense of history in this charming building and its pretty garden and surroundings, plus the centre of Leominster and its market square is just a few minutes’ walk away.

Our accommodation has a communal lounge, library/quiet room, dining room and fully equipped self-catering kitchen. We’ll be resting our heads after fun-packed days in comfortable family rooms with bunk beds, with shared bathrooms. There are also laundry facilities, cycle storage and free parking on this wheelchair-accessible site.

What's Included

The cost includes self catering accommodation in private or shared rooms. This is a self-catering holiday, so no meals will be provided. However, we may be organising some communal meals to get the group together, plus a pub lunch or two. Full details will be available closer to the event. The property is exclusive to Single With Kids and the break is accompanied by a Single With Kids’ coordinator who arranges events and get-togethers throughout the event.

Trip Size

This is a smaller trip with a maximum of 28 single parents and children, but still a great size for making new friends and planning some fun activities as a group. If you’re considering taking the plunge on your first Single With Kids holiday, this is a great one to go for.

Prices & Booking

The prices are per person for the 3 night holiday. There are a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedded rooms, with double, twin and bunk beds – we will allocate these according to the mix of ages and genders in each room.

The group will be accompanied by a Single With Kids’ coordinator who will arrange group events during the break. **any entry fees are NOT included in the costs**

Lisa and Jude 8 - (Easter in the Fort 2019)

" From the moment Jude and I arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Such a friendly group of kids and grownups. This was our first SWK trip and we were both a bit nervous but we shouldn’t have been as the atmosphere is lovely and inclusive. Jude has already told me we are coming back next year but for longer.

Kerry, Ruby 11 and Luca 7 - (Easter in the Fort 2019)

" This is our third Single With Kids trip and our first UK trip. We have had three wonderful days / nights at the Fort in Wales. Cath is a super star. The group (although some knew each other) were so friendly, welcoming and kind. We have made so many special memories and we can’t wait to book our new SWK adventure.

Dawn and Ross 8 - (Bank Holiday in the Lakes 2019)

" What a great weekend with fantastic people in the most beautiful venue. The activities were all great fun, but the best thing about the trip was the way the children were able to play freely outdoors from dusk to dawn. Becky is the best coordinator too!
