“I never imagined that I would enjoy a single parent holiday, and to be honest I nearly cancelled it so many times, but now I am so so glad that I didn’t! It was 100 times better than I ever imagined it would be and we both enjoyed every moment of it! I have never been on a holiday before that has been so jam packed full of fun, laughter, friendship and good times!” – Amie and Lucie, 2

Fancy enjoying some sun, sea and sand with the kids? An overseas holiday might be for you…
Our overseas holidays for single parents have proved very popular with our holiday makers, meaning we can offer an even bigger range of destinations. Spending all year in the UK can leave a thirst for some proper sunshine, but many single parents don’t consider an overseas holiday attainable. Whether it’s the added pressure of travelling alone with children or dreading sitting alone while the kids toddle off and play with new found friends. Single With Kids offer single parents the chance to actually relax! Relaxing on holiday with your children, who would have thought? The chilled out group environment allows for single mums and dads to dip in and out of organised activities, meaning the holidays are really tailored to you. You might like to read that book that you’ve been dying to get around to while the kids have fun by the pool on our lovely Algarve Holiday or why not indulge in adventures for the whole family on the fantastic Bulgaria Ski holiday – the snowy landscapes and crisp sunshine will make it a beautiful, memorable trip.
All of our overseas holidays are provided by My Holiday Tribe and are ATOL protected, meaning the money for your holiday is bonded and completely safe. You can relax knowing your finances are covered and should anything happen you are protected. What’s more, My Holiday Tribe is also TTA bonded, with a financial guarantee for all overseas customers. To find our more about what this protection means for your single parent holiday, read about your financial protection with Single With Kids.

All of our holidays for single parents are accompanied by a Single With Kids holiday coordinator. Most of our coordinators have been with us for years, and many coordinate the same trips each year, so you can ensure you’ll experience some top-notch local knowledge and rest assured that plenty of fun activities will be organised for you, whether you want to participate or not. The coordinator Jo was great, from the time we arrived she made us feel welcome and part of the group. – Catherine and Heidi, 5 (Fort Belan)
Wow! First time with SWK and the holiday exceeded expectations. Elaine got the perfect balance, I always knew where the group was and was always free to choose. I surprised myself how much I joined the group and enjoyed the range of company. Thank you SWK – great organisation and a great time. Thank you Elaine – you make good things happen! – Christine, Alan, 14, and Peter, 11 (Morocco at Easter)
Sally (the coordinator) was lovely. She did a great job at making me feel comfortable since it was my first trip. It was nice to get away and let my son just enjoy himself. We had a lovely time and I have already recommended it to my friends. Holidays can be lonely when it’s just you with your child, but this way you get to meet other people and your child can have company and fully enjoy themselves. – Anne-Marie and Tristan, 6 (Littlehampton)
If you have never been on a single parent holiday before it can be hard to know what to expect. We try to make our website as detailed as possible to give you a feel of Single With Kids and the type of holidays and single parent support we offer, but the biggest part of Single With Kids are the single parents themselves. We often hear back from parents joining us for the first time that it was the single parent group that put them at ease and made their holiday the most enjoyable for a long time.
A far cry from the “Vicky Pollard” stereotype of single parents, we have such a wonderful mix of individuals. From nurses to doctors, teachers to students, hairdressers, accountants, solicitors, social workers… you get the idea. No matter who it is, we all have one thing in common – our beautiful single parent family and our desire to get a well deserved break.
Jo (to the left), the Admissions Officer for the University of Liverpool who has joined us on many of our holidays for single parents with her daughter Natalie sums it up perfectly…
“Knowing that everyone is in the same boat is great. You all get there through different doors but you’re all in the same place which is why single parent breaks work so well. I’ve also made friends with people up and down the country who I would not have met any other way. It’s great that the children have new friends to play with and the adults have some much needed adult company.”
