Feeling sad
« on: November 10, 2013, 04:15:12 PM »
In a split second woke up today thinking my mum was staying with us, then realised she is no longer here. My mother died in April and it has left me feeling more lonely than ever.

Sorry, just needed to tell someone. :(

I remember feeling that not long after my dad died.  Then when you awake fully, reality hits like a smack in the face.  It does get easier. 11 years ago, still not a day goes by though when he doesn't creep in my thoughts at some point.

All I can say is when you feeling sad, remember the good times and the memories you shared.  She may not be with you but your memories will keep her alive in your heart forever, as my dad does mine.

Big hug from me too.

Having not lost a parent yet I can't really offer anything other than an online hug, and a vague understanding of how sad that must leave you feeling. xx
