" I had a perfect time! "
" I just wanted to say my daughter and I have today returned from the 3 night break at The Fort in Wales. As this was our first trip I was obviously a tad nervous and apprehensive. But we found it great fun and even relaxing !!!! The coordinator Jo was great,From the time we arrived she made us feel welcome and part of the group. The other parents were also friendly and welcoming. As were the older kids,Very helpful and friendly to the younger ones. Looking forward to next trip.
If it is your first time and still thinking about booking,Take the leap you won`t regret it !!! "
" We had a wonderful time. The accommodation was amazing and so were the people. Sarah was a fantastic coordinator, she made us feel at ease straight away and was very friendly. The highlight? The nights spent as a group having a buffet or a barbeque in the lodges. It was really good to get to know everyone and let the children play together and have the freedom to run around.
We really, really enjoyed it and I can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t love the holiday to "
" We have just returned from Milford. What a lovely holiday and what a really brilliant co-ordinator. Sarah managed to achieve that balance of making everyone feel as though they were being looked after and included, without feeling as though they were being organised! Thank you, both Ana and I really enjoyed ourselves "
" Very relaxed, nice site – loved the hot tub, the children spent 90% of their time in it. Excellent coordinator. There was plenty of opportunity to participate and do a lot as the co-ordinator was brilliant at organising and making sure everybody was happy. I however, found that all the mums in our lodge got on so well and we were happy relaxing around the lodge a lot of the time. All the kids got on great and were happy just playing and jumping in and out of the hot tub and scootering around the site. It was a great chance to relax and not feel that we had to be dashing off anywhere. I even read my book! Great would definately book again. "
" I have just returned from my first SWK holiday to Majorca. What a fab time we had. Of course it was nerve racking to start with but everyone was so friendly. A big thank you to Chrissie who made us so welcome. Everyone helped everyone out so it felt like you were on holiday with your family – perfect for people like me who have children of different ages with very different interests and needs.
When I think of the 3 holidays I took the kids on before SWk on my own and how lonely I felt and compare it to Majorca there is no comparison !!! I made some great friends that I have seen since arriving back in England – even though they live “up North” and they have introduced me to other SWK members too! My kids made great friends too, who they cant wait to meet up with at Wickstead. So if you are reading this and you have booked something and are nervous – don’t be! you will have a great time If you are thinking about taking the plunge and booking a SWK holiday go on do it! "
" This was our first swk holiday and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The girls had such a good time making new friends, as did I, and we will definitely stay in touch with several families. Thank you both so much for being great hosts! We will most definitely be coming on an swk holiday again, and the girls are already asking me what the next one is!! After this holiday, I don’t think we will be able to do any other holiday again as we enjoyed ourselves so so much, and the laid back easy-going manner was most definitely a positive. Thanks for a great holiday!! "
" have just come back from the Cornwall Lodges holiday. I was really nervous about going as I didn’t know anyone, and my 11 yr old daughter was in a panic!!!!!!…… Everyone on the holiday was brilliant, single parents, just like me. My daughter said on the last night ” this isn’t a holiday mum. . . . . this is heaven, when can we do this again?” I can only say with the greatest of gratitude THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE FOR MAKING ME FEEL SO ACCEPTED.
If any new people out there are thinking about booking a trip, stop thinking about it and just DO IT !!!!!!!!! . Joining SWK was the BEST thing i have ever done, and i am looking forward to many more trips, and making many more friends. Thank you so much Chrissie and Richard for the lifeline you have thrown me. "
" Best Holiday I have been on in years – thank you Single with Kids – Chrissie was great!! "
