North Wales is a fabulous destination for a cheeky little Easter jaunt. Breathtaking scenery, stunning coastline and lots to do – and what’s more, we’re staying in an old fortress for this trip! The accommodation is spread across a number of large, well appointed, group cottages within a Fort, in 40 acres of private land in a seaside location. The Fort is situated on the North West Wales coast, only nine miles from Caernarfon by road, and on the tip of a peninsula. This gives fabulous views across to the Menai Strait and the Isle of Anglesey and the area enjoys fabulous views and sunsets.
Safe bathing may be enjoyed from Dinas Dinlle beach. This is a very fine three mile stretch of golden sand which slopes gently into the sea and so is suitable for adults and children alike.
This holiday is a firm favourite amongst SWK single parents with so much to do and a lovely location shared with friends old and new. The sunsets here are amazing and you really do feel like you’ve left all your worries behind.
The unique location of the Fort provides an ideal base for exploring and visiting some stunning sites in North Wales. Travel on the Great Little Trains of Wales. Explore the unique and mysterious Lleyn peninsula or ride into Snowdonia, to the peak of Snowdon on the famous Snowdon Mountain Railway. Some of the finest mediaeval castles in Britain are only a short drive away – Caernarfon, Conwy, Beaumaris and Harlech are truly impressive and in fact the whole area is steeped in history, myth and legend. Visit the awe inspiring Hydro Electric Mountain in Llanberis, see Museums, Zoos, Sea Life Centres, Woollen Mills, Potteries or Craft Shops. In this part of North Wales the list of attractions for visitors is endless.
When you’ve seen the sites, there are some great beaches locally and rock pooling is a must! Or simply chill out in the lovely surroundings of the Fort with new found friends whilst the kids play. This is YOUR holiday and it can be as full or as laid back as you want it to be.
A great location for an Easter holiday in Wales – the Fort is in Gwynedd, North Wales. The nearest station is Bangor, the postcode for sat navs is LL54 5TP.

" The location was unique and amazing.
It was an ideal place for the children to have a sense of freedom but also assurance that they were safe (particularly when the gates were locked in the evening) "
" A great location and the Fort was a great trip as usual. Special praise for Dawn (coordinator) for her friendly outlook and for being very organised. "
" All of it really, but for us all it was the sociable aspect. I've had holidays where I've sat on my own watching my kids play and this was much more fun with other people around. The location as well is so beautiful and the sunsets were amazing! The girls said it was their best holiday EVER and I can't argue with that! "
" Fantastic holiday! Jess was an amazing coordinator, didn't want to come home, really hope you do it again next year. Cottages were lovely, location amazing but having a good coordinater makes a real difference even Jess son Alex was great helping with luggage can't praise them enough. "
" We all had a really great experience. Both the kids and I made good friends. They were always entertained and I enjoyed sharing experiences with the other mums. The accommodation was great for kids and adults, location absolutely amazing with lots to do nearby. Group size felt just right, not too many to feel overwhelmed, and not too few either. "

" I just wanted to say my daughter and I have today returned from the 3 night break at The Fort in Wales. As this was our first trip I was obviously a tad nervous and apprehensive. But we found it great fun and even relaxing !!!! The coordinator Jo was great,From the time we arrived she made us feel welcome and part of the group. The other parents were also friendly and welcoming. As were the older kids,Very helpful and friendly to the younger ones. Looking forward to next trip.
If it is your first time and still thinking about booking, Take the leap you won`t regret it !!! "
" Morna was a great co ordinator. She really cared that everyone was happy and her and her children were lovely. The location was amazing, right on the beach and it was good that all the cottages were interconnecting so the children were always safe "
" It's a favourite part of the world for me, the fort was a wonderful and special location, and the group gelled really well. There was a good balance of activity you could join and space to do your own thing. Choice of activities was great too. Weather was cold but clear so allowed lots of outside time. We both had a really great time. Sarah was a fantastic coordinator - I loved her relaxed yet well organised approach and her attention to detail at times. She went out of her way to be helpful. "
" Great location, my son loved it. Excellent beach and castles nearby. Unique place to stay.
" Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was great. The location was stunning and having an area for the younger kids to run around in by themselves while being visible at all times was perfect. "
