Inserting an image into a PM
« on: May 05, 2010, 10:04:32 AM »
Hi Richard,

how do you do this?

I've tried the 'insert image' button, but all I get is:
(img) (/img)  [but with square, not round, brackets]
in the message box, without any indication of how to put an image between them.

cheers

Peter

Don't know if this is right but just thought would try it...  At the bottom of the area for typing in, there is an option for advanced options...  this brings up a browse box... if a pic of me appears that is how it's done, if not, it isn't....  ;D
There have been many times this year when I've disturbed you, troubled you, pestered you. irritated you, bugged you or just plainly got on your nerves so today I just wanted to tell you... TOUGH poop! There are no changes scheduled for 2010!!! ENJOY! X

Wahey it worked!!!  ;D  It doesn't say advanced options, it says additional options... down there just on the left hand lower side :)

Hiya

this works for posts on the forum, like the ones you've done, Sunflora, but my question was about PMs (personal messages).

The page for these doesn't have the "additional options" box but, instead, it has an icon for inserting an image.  However, I can't find the way to specify (or copy) the image into the message.

IMG with the square brackets is bulletin board image code. If you use things like Photobucket you will find under each picture not only the html code for that picture, but the IMG code as well.

Its very difficult to explain on-line, as every time you type a square bracket, the bulletin board expects a command.
