The Holiday

1. What is the board basis?

This is on an all inclusive rate.

2. What is included in the holiday?

The holiday includes flights, transfer to and from the airport in Portugal and 7 nights all inclusive at the hotel.

3. How big will the group be?

The group will be around 15 families on a combination of 7 night holidays.

4. Which airports fly out to this holiday

The airport in Portugal is Faro and is served by many of the airports in the UK. The holiday price is based on flights from London.

We have group flights booked and these fly out of London Gatwick.

Please contact us for further information on costs for any of the regional airports. These include – Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Liverpool and Manchester.

5. When will I receive my tickets?

You will receive your tickets and all other documents between 7 – 10 days before you depart. This will be sent out via email.

There will also be an email with further information – who is on your holiday etc around the same time.

6. What is my baggage allowance?

The baggage allowance will be on your tickets. Each airline is different.

7. Does the coordinator meet us at the airport?

With people coming in at different times, the coordinator will meet you in resort.

8. Transfers – what happens when I get to the airport?

The shuttle transfers are available 24 hours a day regardless of flight arrival time. Where possible the holidaymakers on the group flights will be transferred together.

Private transfers are available for this holiday at a supplement.

All of the details on the transfer will be on your vouchers that are issued with your tickets via email 7 – 10 days before departure – this will also include instructions on how to find your transfer.

The hotel from  Faro airport is approximately 25 miles.

9. There is another persons name on my transfer voucher?

This means that that family are on the same transfer as you.

10 Can I add extras on to my flight?

Yes you can. Please contact us for prices.

Please note that any requests for extras (in-flight meals, extra leg room etc) will need to be submitted BEFORE the final balance is paid (12 weeks before your holiday)

The Hotel

1.How big is the hotel?

The hotel consists of 439 rooms.

2. What types of rooms are there?

The room that we have are twin rooms which can accommodate families of up to 4.

3. What facilities do the room have?

All rooms have air conditioning, satellite TV, Safe (chargeable locally) and hair dryer.

4. What is included in the all inclusive rate?

The hotel has 3 restaurants – the main buffet restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, ‘Grill’ serving breakfast lunch and dinner and ‘Aquarius’ serving lunch and dinner.

Breakfast: 08:00 – 10:00
Lunch: 12:30 – 14:30
Dinner: 18:30 – 21:30

In the bar, snacks and drinks are served from 11:00 – 18:00 and ice creams served from 10:30 – 17:00

5. What facilities are there at the hotel?

At the hotel there are 2 swimming pools  for the adults are 2 swimming pools for the children. There is also an indoor pool. Around the pools you will find sunbeds and parasols.

There is a spa featuring a sauna, jacuzzi and gym as well as beauty treatments including massage, manicures and a hair dresser which is open daily.

More sporty activities including yoga, dance, outdoors gymnastics, among many other, sports, inside or outside water are also available (please see the boards in reception for timings)

The hotel has tennis court, beach volleyball court, table tennis and beach football.

Other services that are at the hotel include – 24-hour reception, currency exchange, local information babysitting services (chargeable) and gift shop.

There is also a video games room and a TV in the lounge bar.

There is an assorted daily sports and games programme that is on the board in reception – including quizzes, discos and sporty activities. Every night there is different entertainment – the programme of this will be on the notice board in reception.

There is WiFi available for a charge of 2.50 € per hour.

6. What is there for the Kids?

The children have 2 of their own pools!

There is an entertainment team at the hotel who do activities during the day 10:30 – 12:30 and 15:30 -17:00 for children aged 4 – 11

7. What is the beach like and is it near?

The hotel next to the beach, there are deck chairs and umbrellas which are free. Which has lovely sands and great sea for snorkelling!

8. My flight isn’t till the evening, what are my options?

We can contact the hotel to get a price for a late check-out. This all differs on if the room is available for the next day. There is luggage holding facilities.

The Resort

1. What excursions are there and how much will they cost?

More detailed information on this will be coming soon – this is so that we can give you a better idea of the costs.

These could include a trip to AquaShow water park, a boat trip, a beach day and local exploration.

2. What is the currency there?

Euro is the currency. Which is readily available!

The currency rate is changes often – so you are best looking at this closer to the time.

There are currency exchange facilities at the hotel, you will also find some exchange offices within close proximity to the hotel.  There are also many ATMs that you can withdraw money from – however please do check with your bank what their charges are.

Travellers cheques can be changed at the hotel.

There is an ATM in the hotel.

3. How much money should I take out with me?

All of your food and drink (as stated above in the all-inclusive rates) in the hotel complex is included – you will need money for any of the excursions that you would like to do and any gifts that you wish to buy.

4. What plug adaptor should I take out with me?

Portugal uses the 2 pin plug that you would find through out Europe.

5. What is the time difference?

The local time in the Algarve is the same as in the UK GMT + 0

6. What languages are spoken there?

The main language is Portuguese however English and French are also spoken.
